MDS is open to high school and university students from all backgrounds. All you need is interest in international relations, debate, and diplomacy. No matter your field of study or level of prior knowledge, we highly encourage you to apply and look forward to seeing you soon in Munich!

Not at all! MDS offers exciting committees for various experience levels, including beginner committees where your chairs will take the time to explain everything you need to know. Additionally we will offer workshops for those taking their first steps within the MUN world But also if you have prior experience MDS is your place to be. Our intermediate and expert delegates will find the right challenges in fast-paced, more complex simulations in the respective committees.

Simply put, choose whatever sparks your interest (while always keeping your experience level in mind). When you apply on MyMUN, you can indicate your preferences for committees based on your interests, experience level, and the topics you’d like to debate. While we can not guarantee everyone to get their preferences assigned, our team will do their best to find the perfect role for you. If you are in High School you can choose between two committees (beginner and intermediate), especially tailored for High School debate.

After being accepted, our Administration team will review all applications and allocate you a country or role. We do our best to match your preferences, but assignments of cource also depend on availability, prior experience and balance across committees.

The standard dress code at MDS is formal Western business attire. This means suits, blazers, dress shirts, ties, dresses, skirts, or blouses. You should aim to look professional, similar to what you would wear in a diplomatic or business environment, for example to a job interview in finance. For the socials the dress code might be different, this will be communicated to you via instagram and Whatsapp before the conference.
