We are aware that there are many reasons and we are already excited to read your answers. Still, we don't expect you to write long essays on the questions in this section. We prefer authentic answers and these should be short and sweet.
Your statement about a pressing issue
We ask you to deal with one of the three following questions. While doing so, we highly encourage you to use your background and choose the most exciting question. Please keep your response within 1500 characters (approx. 300 words).
Question 1: Effective communication is a critical component of diplomacy. Please describe a situation where you had to communicate a complex idea to a person or group with limited knowledge of the subject matter. How did you ensure that your message was understood?
Question 2: In your opinion, what are the key qualities that make a successful diplomat? Please provide examples of how you have demonstrated these qualities in your previous experiences.
Question 3: Can you describe a time when you had to negotiate with someone who held opposing views to your own? How did you approach the situation, and what tactics did you use to reach a compromise?
