Futuristic European Council

The European Council (EUCO) brings together the Heads of State or Government of all EU countries, alongside the European Council President and the European Commission President to set the EU's overall direction and decide its political priorities. As reaching consensus requires skillful negotiation and compromise, this committee is suitable for delegates at the intermediate level, who are comfortable in debate and are eager to learn more about European politics through direct participation. After the European Parliament elections, the European Council debates about the positions in Europe’s top jobs. The debate will center around the EU Commission President, the Higher Representative of Foreign Affairs, and the Council President. The points of dispute will revolve around the position of right-wing governments in the EU and different national elections between the EP election 2024 and 2029.
