Fostering BRICS-Africa Collaboration: The Role of the Sahel Confederation
About the Committee
BRICS+ refers to the expanded cooperation framework built upon the original BRICS grouping—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—to include Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates. The concept emerged to broaden the influence and reach of BRICS by inviting other developing nations to participate in summits and collaborative initiatives. Through BRICS+, member countries seek to promote greater global economic balance, enhance South-South cooperation, and foster inclusive, multilateral decision-making on issues ranging from trade to technology.
